Rugby Season & Other Stuff

I'm so excited. The first scrimmage is March 1 and Olivia is already going to practice 2 afternoons per week. Tomorrow is the last wrestling match. Hooray for that, too. It's just not a sport I can get into although I know it's very popular. Last Saturday was presentation of the parents by their Senior kids. Here is a video that Olivia's BF took. He did a good job.

Other than a couple of snow storms, all's quiet on the eastern front. In fact, the temperatures may hit 50°F on Sunday. We won't know what to do with ourselves. In spite of what the groundhog says, I wonder if spring isn't just around the corner? This past week, I've been hearing more and more Canada geese flying back and forth to the Susquehanna. They sleep there at night and cruise the corn fields by day to score food. And they are very noisy birds. You'd think they'd use all their energy for flying. But nooo! They must constantly honk, honk, honk.

Had a lovely evening Tuesday. I had cabin fever and hied myself over to visit one of my DIL. Turned GD Shannon was also there. I invited her out to eat at Friendly's. Amy decided that sounded good. So, she called her DH Phil to meet us, bundled up the boys and off we went. It was a lovely time. That night they got 8+" of snow while we got none. The storm was called a freak of nature in big headlines the next day.

I don't have any pictures today. So, I snatched this clip from YouTube. It's called Rugby 101 and is a computer generated instruction on the basics of Rugby and what various plays & positions are called.
