Kimberly's Baby Shower

While March didn't come in like a lion, it's making up for it today. Lots of big wind blowing around outside. A good day to stay in a drink something warm. Too bad I can't do that.

I have gotten a few chores out of the way this morning while I am waiting for the cable guy. And I don't think his name is Larry. Whatever his name is, he's not here yet. Even though I was told that he would be here between 10:30am and 12:30pm. Hmm It's after 1:00pm now. So, that would make him late wouldn't it?

Yesterday afternoon, I spent a lovely few hours in the bosom of a good deal of my family. The occasion was Kimber's baby shower. One of the advantages of being part of a large extended family was that she made a pretty good haul. One of those things was something I didn't get to see too closely. But I think it was a diaper disposal thingy. LOL That's pretty clear, isn't it? It may even be automatic. Wouldn't that be something?

Later: The cable guy finally showed up over an hour late. Says he got hung up on his first job of the day and that made him late for everything else. He didn't say if his name was Larry or not. (Turns out it was Louis. LOL Close enough.)

As soon as he leaves, I'll be heading out to Mt. Joy to leave my Breeze with Tim Moser for a few days. He knew there was an oil leak when he sold me the car. I took it in a week ago but it turned out to be a bigger deal than first thought. Instead of needing a new seal, it needs new head gaskets. Whew! I sure am glad there is a 3 month warranty on it. I think that's an expensive prospect. Tim will give me a loaner for a few days. As long as it gets me from point A to point B and has heat, I am game.

That's about it from this end of the world. An interesting year. One new great-grandchild and one wedding (in August). I need to go wrap up warmly so I can scoot out when the cable guy leaves.
