New Driver In PA

Yep. Olivia got her license the other day. She was trying to be so cool beforehand. It didn't matter if she didn't get it, she didn't like driving that much, etc. Trying to cushion herself from the blow of failing. We've all been there. I have anyway. From the picture here, you can see how far being cool went after she aced it. That's a great big WHEW!!! across her face.

Other than taking her to the DMV so she could use my Dodge Stratus instead of her mom's Jeep Cherokee, I've been a knitting fool. I ordered some yarn from various places. Amy wants the Maine Morning Mitts. I got 2 skeins of Fjord from Crystal Palace Yarns. One is Roses and the other is Fall Herbs. Gorgeous. I think Amy will prefer the Roses as it has more pink in it. I can't wait to start the mittens. They have to wait until I finish the watch cap I'm currently working on.

I'll knit on it while I watch the last 2009 PBR World Finals events on NBC at 4pm EST. It's a little anti-climatic since Marchi clinched the World last night. Big gold buckle, $1 million and all. I am so happy for him. He had bitter defeat by coming in 2nd the last 3 years in a row. The Brazilians are fabulous bull riders.

Now that is a happy smile! I remember when I got my license--all those years ago.

As for PM, it means "place marker". Just sort of short hand for "stick the darn little thing right here." :)
Enjoy knitting the mitts.
