HAPPY EASTER!!!

Kimberly sent me the above bunnies. Brightened my day. Thanks, Kim.

I took my car in yesterday to get the a/c charged up for warm weather. No can do, says they. It's too cold to get an accurate reading on the amount of freon needed. It was cold and snowing now and again. Another day.

After I left there is was very early. So, I decided to head out to Intercourse and hit the fabric shops there and along the way. Wah! I got out there around 9am. Only to find out that none were open till 10am. I wasn't in the mood to hang around. I whipped down to Walmart to get a few groceries. Especially the stuff for Easter dinner on Sunday. It will only be the 4 of us as usual. But it's nice to have dinner with my girls. Walmart didn't start getting crowded until I was ready to check out. Having to dodge kids whose parents are oblivious is a pain in the old southern end.

After that, it was past 1pm. I was hungry since I ate breakfast around 5am. I couldn't decide where to go. Tired of Cracker Barrel, Bob Evan's and Friendlys. Then, I spied Perkins and whipped into their lot. I haven't eaten there in over a year. I can never just jump in/out of the car. I have to get all my stuff together first. Just as I closed the (locks locked) door, I happened to think that I may have left my keys in the ignition. Duh!!!! That's exactly what I did. Senior moment. And it was snowing.

Since I was already at Perkins, I just went on in and was seated. After deciding what I wanted, I called AAA. Oops. I had used up my 4 calls for the year. Oh wait. My membership expired March 31. I renewed it over the phone while I drank my iced tea. When the woman said I would need cash to pay the locksmith, I pointed out that I had just renewed and this should be the start of new AAA year for me. Why so it is, she says.

In a few minutes, the locksmith called. He said it would be $55. I told him I was covered but he had gotten the old 4 calls info from somebody. So, he called them back. ITM, Phyllis called. She had been out to Sight & Sound on a free visit to see the Easter show. I told her what happened and where I was. She told me to place an Eggs Benedict order for her and she would be right there. She had to drive right down Rte 30 East which Perkins is on. (I know it's bad grammar. Don't bug me.)

The upshot was that the locksmith came, Phyllis went out with my card and it took him about 10 seconds to unlock the passenger door. And off he went. I'm thinking $55 for 10 seconds work? Oh my. Phyllis grabbed the keys and we finished lunch. We parted ways as she decided to go back out by the American Music Theater to get tickes to see the guys who were on "Whose Line Is It, Anyway?". Ended up getting 3 tickets. I never cared for the show so she didn't bother even asking me if I wanted to go. Which I didn't.

I was just glad to get home with my car, my keys and my groceries all in one piece. Today, I grabbed my spare set of keys and tucked them into a safe place in my purse. Now, if I don't lock the purse in the car along with the regular keys, I'm all set.
